Rick is a part time photographer who shoots a wide and varied array of subjects for both enjoyment and for commission, but specialises in studio and event photography, with the occasional venture into landscape photography.

Having an interest in taking photos from a young age, Rick has moved from taking occasional snaps to creating memorable and interesting images, working alone and with make-up artists, studios, stylists and models.

Rick recently completed a diploma in professional photography and is a member of the Nottingham Outlaws Photographic Society (NOPS), where he is looking towards achieving PAGB accreditation.

Rick doesn't consider himself photogenic, but is prone to using himself for artistic ideas and practising lighting techniques as well as post processing edits, this is purely for exploration and the fact he has all of the control and the subject matter is readily available. "Terminator Rick" and "Tribute to M.C. Escher" / "Drawing Hands" being 2 such examples. Clearly, photoshop, post processing and blending of images is also a skill that Rick possesses and enjoys dabbling every now and again, but the passion is in the visualisation and the taking of the image ultimately. When not taking photos, Rick is a solutions Architect for a large local I.T. firm, and also bakes artisan bread to relax after a hard week's work. Because of the bread, photographing food is now becoming an area of study.
